THE MESSENGER |
Ornskoldsvik, Sweden |
Peo Hedin
Markus Ingberg
Thomas Nordin
PEO works at WOOD STUDIOS in the northern
parts of Sweden,the land
of looong winters, Santa Claus and The Cardigans. Or Meshuggah, if You
prefer them.
Together with Markus and many long nights by himself he explores
different soundscapes with the analog/tube-filled studio which (among
loads of other stuff) houses an old 76 AMEK M-2000 console and an
OTARI MTR-90 MKI. And, You know, some not-as-interesting digital stuff like
PRO-TOOLS and ADATs. Yeah, PEO is, you can say, an analog kind of guy,
like his master Lanois.
PEO and Marcus are both huge fans of Mr.
Lanois his production are always in the studios CD-player. His favorites? Mr. Lanois own Acadie, Peter Gabriels Us, Bob Dylans Time out of mind, and the Emmylou Harriss true jewel Wrecking Ball. As good as music ever will be!
Thomas is relatively new in the Yes-we-love-everything-You-touch-Daniel-club.
Immediately he was totally blown away by the mans voice and the nerve in his songs. I think this is obvious when You listen to this version of The Messenger.
"This is the most amusing and thrilling project weve ever been involved in",
says a very excited PEO. "Tons of respect to You, Mr. Lanois, and a huge
Thank You Mr. Houser for doing this tribute to our master."
And, yes, one more thing: Mr. Lanois, whenever Youre walking the
Viktoriaesplanaden-street in Örnsköldsvik, feel free to drop by into WOOD.
Maybe we even can make You a nice prize if Youd like to record something
