FEAR OF LEMMINGS website

Maryland, United States

Fear Of Lemmings is a collection of concepts that manifest themselves in the music and other assorted projects of Freddie Cox and Eddie Glenn.   Some of those concepts are: Quality over Quantity; Simplicity over Complexity; The Amalgamation of Traditional and Technological; Unification and Understanding through Open Discourse via Digital Technology.

As a musical project, Fear Of Lemmings began in 1986 at Heavener High School in rural southeastern Oklahoma. It has since evolved through personnel changes, geographic migrations, and several genres of music, including blues punk in the late 80's, art band alternative and folk in the early 90's, and-- after a seven year hibernation-- the current mix of Americana instrumentation and humor-tinged social commentary.

As an "open source" project, Fear Of Lemmings often enjoys the accompaniment of several "orbiting" musicians, including guitarist/harmonicist Lyle Deiter and drummer/percussionist Melissa Morgan. Melissa appears with Eddie and Freddie on Rocky World, FOL's contribution to The Unbreakable Chain: A Tribute to Daniel Lanois.

Information about FOL can be obtained by visiting www.fearoflemmings.com .
The site also contains audio clips from Eddie's upcoming CD, Un-PC, which was produced by Freddie using some rather unorthodox recording techniques.
